Top 10 Best Fight Scenes

Kung Fu movies are a lot like porn: even the worst ones are watchable with fast forwarding. In this case, we're going with the former (maybe a list of the best porn scenes is soon to come...but probably not). While most good kung fu/action films have a handful of fight scenes, there is usually one that stands about above all the rest. I present to you...the best of the best:

10. Tony Jaa in the fight club- Ong Bak :
Newcomer, Tony Jaa, stars in one of the most hard-hitting films i've ever seen, Ong Bak. In this scene, Jaa goes through three different fighters. The first of which strangley resembles Slash from Guns N' Roses. Warning, this one is brutal.

9. Jean Claude Van Damme vs. Chong Li- Bloodsport:
Say what you will about JCVD, but this fight is great, plus he shows some serious physical ability. and is that a young Forest Whitaker I see? I think it is...

8. Neo vs. Vampires- The Matrix Reloaded:
This scene stepped up everything that was good about the fights in the first Matrix movie and represents what the final fight in the third film should have been like, fast paced, well choreographed wire fighting.

7. The Bride vs. The Crazy 88s - Kill Bill: Vol 1.:
I don't know how poorly trained the members of the Crazy 88s are, but all I know is that they die like pot-head brain cells (or sperm count). Also the fight preceding this with Go-Go Yubari, and the one proceding it with Oren Isihii are both awesome as well.

6. Ziyi Zhang vs. Michelle Yeoh- Crounching Tiger Hidden Dragon:
A modern classic, and the only one on the list between two women. Wire-fu at its greatest? I think so. (I can't believe Ang Lee went on to direct Brokeback Mountain after this).

5. Bruce Lee vs. Kareem Abdul Jabar- Game of Death:
Bruce sporting the classic yellow jumpsuite in his final film, the Game of Death. Look at the footprint on Bruce Lee's chest when he gets kicked by his former student, Kareem!

4. The Crippled Avengers vs. Chu Twin and Chu Cho Chang - Return of the 5 Deadly Venoms:
This fight has the best set up ever: 4 crippled kung fu masters overcome their handicaps in the name of vengence and ass kicking. One is blind, one is deaf, one is legless and the other is mentally impaired (master of Idiot Fu).

3. Wong Fie Hung vs. Chinese Mob - Legend of the Drunken Master:
Jackie Chan gains super human fighting ability when he gets wasted. I wish that is what happened every time I got drunk...oh wait, it is.

2. Chen Zhen vs. Supreme Killer General Fujita- Fist of Legend:
There is a pretty intense scene at the opening of this movie as well, but this one is untouchable. Just wait and see how Jet Li kills this guy. Bad as hell.

1. Bruce Lee vs. Japanese Dojo- Fists of Fury:
This one wins for so many reasons. First off, its Bruce Lee, the finest martial artist to ever grace the screen, secondly, he takes on like 20+ japanese dudes and kicks their ass in such a way that you don't doubt he could do it in real life if provoked. Lastly, he's just got so much attitude, he walks into a their Dojo, insults them, then shows them what the fuck is up with a pair of nunchucks. Amazing.

For the record, most of these fights (Fist of Legend, Kill Bill, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Matrix Reloaded, & Legend of the Drunken Master) where choreogrpahed by Yuen Woo-Ping, the Scorcese of fight scenes.

This video is pretty sick. N.E.R.D. puts on a real hype live show. They start off with Spaz and then play Lapdance. Plus midway through is an awesome call-and-response drum solo between two sweet drummers.

Stoner Movie Post: Meth & Red go to White Castle

Method Man claims Harold and Kumar stole their style. This very well may be true, but How High, is just one of 100 stoner-buddy-comedies that rank from hilarious to god forsaken. How High is certainly the former, and so is Harold and Kumar. Method also talks about How High 2 possibly in the works, which would be awesome. In honor of that golden possibility, here are some of the classic stoner duos.

Cheech & Chong: The original stoner pair. "It's like a protest tune, man..."

Jay & Silent Bob: They don't get much more raunchy then Jay and Silent Bob. Jay does most of the talking (go figure), but the two still manage to play off each other well, even though you don't actually see them doing much smoking.

Dale & Saul: Of course with a pair like this you can't go wrong. Also kudos for introducing the (my) world to the cross joint.

Bill & Ted: And how can we forget about these two lovable retards?

Things are changing

A lot of changes are coming real soon, with new writers, which is why I haven't been updating much. But just in case you didn't hear (yah, right) Michael Jackson died at age 50. After giving us decades of classic music, a legend has left us.

Sleepy-Eyed Mona Music Video

This is a music video I made for my track "Sleepy-Eyed Mona" off of OuterDrive. The video is cut together using clips from the French animated film "Fantastic Planet." James and I watched this movie before recording the song, so I thought it was only fitting to make a music vid out of it.

2012 Full Trailer

This is the first full trailer for the new movie '2012.' I find it interesting how humans are so infatuated with their own demise. Special FX look pretty good though.

What the hell is this?
